🌼 Save the Bees! – A Buzzing Success on the Eco Allotment 🐝

Little Buds Family Eco Session – Harewood Lane Allotments, Upton

Last weekend, our Little Buds family group at the Bless Eco Allotment celebrated all things bees with a buzzing workshop dedicated to raising awareness and nurturing our environment. With our Save the Bees theme, we had a jam-packed morning full of creativity, learning, and nature-based fun — and the children absolutely loved it!

🐝 Bee-themed crafts were the highlight of the session — from wind chimes that will twinkle in the breeze to handmade keyrings perfect for little bags and backpacks. Everyone had a go at honey tasting too, which was a definite hit! 😋

🌱 Our young eco warriors got their hands dirty planting flowers, leeks, and tomato plants, all under the guidance of our wonderful Angie. The team took watering duty very seriously (and had a lot of fun with it too!) 💦

🎉 A special shoutout to little Evelyn, who came dressed for the occasion in full bee celebration style — we love to see it! 🐝🫶

These sessions are about more than just gardening — they’re about learning, teamwork, fun, and connection. We’re so proud of all the hard work the children put in and the joy they bring to our community space.

We’ll be back next Saturday from 10:00–11:30am at Harewood Lane Allotments, and we’d love to see more new faces join in.
